Meet Belle Brillantes, a full-time mother turned freediving athlete. Starting her journey in 2021 as a recreational or “awra” freediver, Belle has defied expectations and become the oldest active freediving athlete at the age of 50. She holds an impressive 5 National Records for the Static Apnea discipline. As a member of the AIDA Philippines freediving team, Belle competed at the AIDA World Pool Championship in Jeju, South Korea in June 2023. Her achievements and determination serve as an inspiration to aspiring freedivers in the county.
