For divers, the waters of Southern Leyte are home to a profusion of beautiful marine life, including the majestic whale shark. The whale shark season starts around early November and lasts till the end of May, with chances of seeing whale sharks as high as 95%.
As Southern Leyte is a bit off the beaten diver path in the Philippines, the reefs are considered to be uncrowded with spots waiting to be explored and enjoyed.
