With an international airport, Cebu is a gateway to some of the most amazing and diverse diving in the Philippines. Less than an hour’s ride from urban Cebu, you can find yourself diving Mactan’s critter-filled muck sites, coral reefs, a huge cavern (aka Marigondon Cave), and even a deep wreck (San Juan Wreck) for qualified tech divers.
Drive southwards and you can be in Moalboal diving with a massive sardine run. Further, at the tip of Cebu Island, you can have an abundance of colorful slope dives in Santander.
On the other hand, if you travel 5-6 hours north of Cebu, you can be in Malapascua doing any of the following – early morning thresher shark dives, white-tip shark encounters in Gato Island, wreck diving in Dona Marilyn wreck, or macro-hunting in the others dives sites in the area.
